7802 Bradley Manor
'Manor' - Collett '78XX' 4-6-0 (Built 1938)
The 'Manor' class was designed by C B Collett in 1938 as part of a policy to replace existing 2-6-0 and 4-4-0 locomotives with a range of 4-6-0's capable of mixed traffic use.
Only 30 of these lightweight locos were built. They were the smallest class of 4-6-0 on the Western in both size and number.
A surprising total of nine Manor class locomotives are preserved, their numbers are:- 7802, 7808, 7812, 7819, 7820, 7821, 7822, 7827 and 7828.
